A fire has started across the valley from my house. As you can see from the photograph, it has some amount of time before it threatens us (and our escape route), but I'm going to have to be mindful of this and start working on packing some stuff up and the like.

We didn't USED to be in danger, and our house should be okay even if the fire DOES spread to this area, we just might experience A. A call to evacuate, and less likely (but more dangerously), B. Difficulty escaping. For the sake of possible evacuation, I'm going to have to chill from diaries and stuff for a while, but I'll try and check E-mail once a day.

*coughs* I'm not in a large amount of danger, but we're considerably unprepared for this eventuality, and so I'm going to be spending the next few days also working on that stuff and making sure we're all ready to go.

Mel, Mira, I'm STILL COMING TO VISIT. Please E-mail me with what you've got so far and all that. I need to know the schedule as it stands, because we're only, what, one week out, and I'm panicing only slightly.

Margaret, I'd like it if ye talked to me once or twice, too. :P You don't have to worry, I'm not going to go spare or anything. There's far more pressing dangerous things to go spare about.
